A Home for the Flair Community
Our Story
The Melbourne Flair Club was born from the simple need for a safe, supportive space where bartenders could practice, grow, and connect through flair bartending.
In 2008, while preparing for the Roadhouse World Flair competitions, Clinton Weir founded the original London Flair Club in West London. Starting with just one room, the space quickly expanded, welcoming a tight-knit community of over a dozen bartenders with 24-hour access. This wasn’t just a training venue—it became a social hub, a support network, and a launchpad for international talent.
After relocating to Melbourne, Clinton saw a gap: flair bartending had no stronghold in Australia. The Melbourne Flair Club was established to change that. From regular meetups with free training sessions, the club has now welcomed over 500 local and international flair bartenders, many of whom have gone on to compete on global stages.
Our Mission
Our goal is clear:
To grow the flair community in Australia with the right mentality—service first, flair second—and a professional standard that uplifts the entire bar industry.
We’re creating a permanent home for the flair community:
- A space where bartenders can train, connect, and share
- A club where mentorship, inclusion, and passion drive progress
- A hub for local talent and international guests through Clinton’s global network
